Biography
Mykhaylo (Mike - or a compromise, Mikhail) Kryzhanovsky was born in 1958 in Ukraine. He graduated from Chernovtsy University (BS in languages) and received an extraordinary specialized education at Ivano-Frankovsk University of Social Studies, military college, the KGB counter-espionage school and the KGB Intelligence Institute. He was involved in secret operations since 1978, and later served as a USSR intelligence officer, and a member of the KGB’s “The Bell” top secret anti-terror group. He was a senior intelligence officer and top US government expert with the National Security Service of Ukraine (NSS).

His outstanding record of producing up to 20 top-secret government intelligence reports (coded telegrams) a year made him the most productive spy in KGB history, and his unprecedented 30-year espionage career in Russia and the USA probably makes him the number one spy in the world.
In 1992 as NSS officer he managed an illegal espionage station in Moscow, Russia, and planned to substitute a stand-in or double for Russian President Boris Yeltsin, who was the biggest threat to Ukraine at the time. There was a leak, and Yeltsin pushed Ukrainian President Kravchuk to sign a secret agreement to end mutual espionage.
Kryzhanovsky learned that a decision had been made to liquidate him and in 1995 he came to the United States. Another KGB officer, Vladimir Putin, a former FSB (Russian counter-espionage service) chief, used his plan and substituted a double for Yeltsin in 2000.

- All You Need to Know About Mike's Recent Book -

Here is the book that guides the President of the United States from the first day in the Oval Office to the day he (or she?) walks out for the last time. In fact, the strategies and mindset recommended in these pages are essential tools for capturing the Presidency as much as wielding it.
The international scene today is either a madhouse or the product of extraordinarily cynical techniques such as these, applied with cold cunning, by our nation’s leaders.
This handbook provides a comparison of the world's premier intelligence agencies, discusses tactics of surveillance, war, and public persuasion, and gives practical advice on political maneuvering at the local, national and international levels. A rational, results-based handbook, it is destined to be a secret favorite of politicians, agents of the special services, CEOs and corporate boards for the next hundred years to come. And for the many other ambitious contenders in the world of winner-take-all bare-knuckles capitalism.
The author, who cites decades of insider knowledge at both the KGB and the CIA, says he originally compiled this book upon a request from Washington – anonymous, of course.

When I left Russia and made my way to the United States in 1995, after (as we thought at the time) the Cold War had ended, the folks in Washington gave me better than the usual immigrant’s welcome. In fact, given my expertise and 30 years experience in covert operations and techniques of influence, they asked me to prepare a briefing and a set of instructions for the White House.
This in effect turned me into US President de facto. Naturally, the operation was authorized by the first Russian CIA Director — John Deutch, who wanted to see me, a professional Russian intelligence officer, in the Oval Office, even if only under the table (read about John Deutch in the chapter on “Managing Spies at the Top”).
Since 1996 an astute observer may see that my guidance has been taken very much to heart at the White House, as Bill Clinton and now George W. Bush act in strict accordance to this handbook. In fact, using the models, patterns, and rules crystallized in these pages the American public can now stand a chance of making sense of today’s bizarre domestic and international news and elections, as well as deciphering what may have been going on in past scandals and other tectonic shifts whose explanations have remained unsatisfactory and unconvincing.
Ten years have passed since I first delivered these pointers to Washington, and it’s high time to share them with the public, with presidents, prime ministers, senators, legislators, ministers, governors and mayors, ambassadors and consuls, generals and soldiers, professors and students, spies and police officers, reporters and analysts, and those battling it out in the corporate minefield. And, finally, with those wish to be elected the US President. No matter where you live and what you do, the “White House Special Handbook” will help you make sense of the news and get ahead in the vulpine world of the 21st century. Good luck.
“Everybody wants to be the boss.” So they say. But before we even check whether you are eligible and electable, let’s see if you really want the job.
